It took me a while to realize
but now I clearly see
When I look into your eyes
I know it was meant to be
A simple twist of fate, I guess
was holding us apart
But my child I must confess
You've always lived inside my heart
A stranger to you I am right now
but the time is drawing near
And soon you too will see just how
you've always been right here.
