The Meaning Of 108

My daughter's age in China was estimated incorrectly at the time of her finding. To make a long story short, once she came home it was necessary to re-establish her age more accurately and petition the court for a new birthdate and a new birth certificate (it was a long detailed process...)

I thought long and hard in regards to choosing a meaningful birthdate 

for Sasha Jade, and I decided 10-8-2006~ "108"~ fit her perfectly.

The Significance And Meaning Of "108"

Sun and Earth: The diameter of the Sun is 108 times the diameter of the Earth. The distance from the Sun to the Earth is 108 times the diameter of the Sun.

Moon and Earth: The average distance of the Moon from the Earth is 108 times the diameter of the Moon.

Time: Some say there are 108 feelings, with 36 related to the past, 36 related to the present, and 36 related to the future.

Planets and Houses: In astrology, there are 12 houses and 9 planets. 12 times 9 equals 108.

Goddess names: There are said to be 108 Indian goddess names.

First man in space: The first manned space flight lasted 108 minutes, and was on April 12, 1961 by Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet cosmonaut.
