One Year Ago Today Across The Ocean Far, Far Away...

We decided to start a new family tradition- every year we will re-live our incredible journey to bring home Sasha Jade by watching ourselves on the computer from this side of the ocean... one year later and one year wiser... Your comments are always welcome:

Random Thoughts From The Road

When traveling it is comforting to children
to know that ketchup is still ketchup,
and still readily available to them!
Always have some of this with you when
traveling by overnight train in China.
Clowns in Asia may be scary too!
We all come with our own set of baggage...
...sometimes we are lucky enough to
find porters that help us carry it.
Other times we may need to empty it out
and look at it to remind us who we are.
Someone very special made us homemade zhongzi for Dragon Boat Festival.
We gave it to someone else who is special,
this is called "paying it forward".
Life is a series of compromises.
You must accept the
good with the bad,
and the bad with the good.
There will always be a little good in every bad,
there will always be a little bad in every good.
If you read life's menu carefully it will tell you
exactly what you need to order.
Cruise ships are not the only place
you can find towels shaped into animals.
There are real Chinese lanterns in China.
Some slogans are better off remaining
in their country of origin.
Unfortunately, there really is such a thing as
turtle soup.
Sisters are fun to share stickers with
and it's not fun to have to share your stickers;
both of these facts are true at the same time.
Look closely and you will see important signs
to tell you you are heading down the right road!
