I thought we had decided on a name for Tian Tian that seemed to fit her. The more I look at her photos the less I am really sure if she looks like a "Bella" to me. Today I get the sense that her name needs to begin with the letter "K". Maybe Kaia Jade, Kaya Jade, Kylie Jade...?? Perhaps we need to wait until we meet her before we decide.

Names - a personal preference to be sure. I did not choose my daughters name (dh did), but I can live with it. She seems to fit it.
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, can you live with it? School is a consideration, as is what it will sound like if she is in a business meeting. You may want to have her go by her english name in school and work - or not - we did not want our daughter's name to immediately suggest she was a foreigner and therefore have people make assumptions before meeting her. I love the name Tian - its much less odd than many other names you see and hear. You could consider naming her Tian ----english name. Tian Kaela, Tian Kaila, Tian Kathleen, Tian Keegan, Tian Kiara, Tian Kira, Tian Kirsten, or all of the above reversed - Kirsten Tian. Good luck naming.
