Red Couch Confessions

...from our living room

Things are pretty good around here.
I have become good friends with the dog now.
I walk around yelling "Coco"
and I really like to boss him around.
Tonight I fed him dinner and it was so funny
but when he kisses my hand I run to Mama and I yell
"Coco bu wo" (Coco hit me).
I also know how to play peek-a-boo.

I can sing the ABC's too.
I hope my Mama will let me see
the rest of the house soon,
she said for right now my new world is big enough.
But I see a big slide and some toys downstairs.
The strange thing is they keep forgetting
to take me to school, even though I keep asking to go!
Swimming is a lot of fun,
I used my water wings for the first time.
OK for now, bye!

  2. Hi Marla and Family,
I so enjoyed following your trip to China,
and am so happy you will continue blogging.
I love your writing also, and find the time
after arriving in the USA, very interesting
for the new little American girl. I think
your other children were "troopers" on the
China trip and Kudos to them for being such
    good brothers and sister.. Sincerely,
Mary M and Buckwheat the Nanday, Vancouver, Wa.

  3. I've enjoyed reading about your recent journey home, and love the creative "Red Couch Confessions" - When we adopted our daughter from Taiwan and took her to the hotel, I think she thought that was her new home. When we got home, she just wandered around the whole place and of course loved the play room. She seemed to enjoy the space! Your newest addition looks to be adjusting beautifully! She is such a cutie. Can't wait to read more. We have an LID of 8/28/06 and are considering SN. I wish I had an au pair! (That's how I found your blog - from RQ) Those books are so perfect! Did you have them made?
