Look Who's Here!

Auntie Melanie!
Or as Sasha called her, YiMa Melanie
(which means "Older Auntie"...)
Ha Ha
Melanie came all the way from Michigan to be with us!
We are so blessed with her friendship!
Even Sticker Girl could sense how special she is.
We had a great time shopping and then we
had dinner at a Thai restaurant on Shamian Island.
Melanie is the best power-shopper!
Ava Rose is having a sleep over party
in Melanie's room tonight.

  1. So pleased to see Melanie arrived safe and sound. She's my special girl....a wonderful daughter and friend. I enjoy watching each day your photos and subtitles unfold.

Love to Melanie and your family,

  2. Yay! On The Money arrives - right on the money! Thanks, personal power shopper (no pressure).

  3. P.S. On-The-Money did good with the packing if those two bags are all that she brought. She'll be able to reduce the pink bag to carry-on size, buy an extra cheap suitcase on the Island to fill with some of her old stuff plus your new shopping stuff, and then check that new bag for free on the way home. Cheap suitcase can be ugly and need only survive the return trip (wrap it with your silly orange straps!), then donate it to Salvation Army. Enjoy GZ, maybe your Dream Team can help you find our jade lady. Muncle.

  4. I've enjoyed your last several posts so much. Especially Ava as swirling princess, Sasha's facial expressions with the bubbles and both daughters on the red couch. Jake seems to be so cool about everything and the perfect brother. You all look like you are having a great time getting to know each other and also enjoying a wonderful trip besides. Carol Benton

  8. It's nice seeing your family there with you.
Shop more! Buy as much as you can. Buy souvenirs and Chinese clothes. Ava looks great in Chinese clothes.
