Paparazzi

who are all these people and what are they so excited about?
there must be someone famous in Guilin

it's Harry Potter and his mother and sister!
the locals were very curious about us
this happened all day today
my kids were such good sports
this is the first time Jake has so willingly let anyone take his picture

it's hard to be a super star, but someone's got to do it

  1. These photos are fantastic! This happened to my sister and me 25 years ago in Japan. She and I were teenagers, Caucasian, and 6 feet tall. I would have loved to have had photos documenting the "paparazzi".

Thanks for sharing and I will share with my children who are likely to get swarmed and cuddled by their fans in China when we travel to receive their sister. I really appreciate the warning and humor. Yay for Harry and Hermione!

  3. LOLLLLL, that is sooo funny! The only time we were stared at was when we took the subway in Beijing. Wait till they see SJ! A friend of mine taught in China and he's over 6 feet tall- people would point and call him Superman! I bet the kids will never forget this! How fun!

  4. We just caught up on all the great pictures! Lucie liked the lady with the "pet" chicken. You are all having such an amazing experience, and it brings back some really nice memories for us too! Keep enjoying it and looking forward to Monday. We're all with you in spirit!
